5 YEARS

On the 20th we celebrated our 5th anniversary. We didn't do anything. We are a old, boring, married couple. We drove to AZ the night before because my 6 week appointment was on Monday. On our Anniversary (Mon) I went and got my hair and nails done which I love! And then we drove home. Haha and that's it. We didn't do anything else. Maybe we'll do something nice next year.

Disneyland

So this past Tuesday we took Matty to Disneyland for the first time. He had so much fun!
He was so good once he understood the concept of standing in line and waiting our turn. He just loved everything we went on. I think his favorite ride was either Nemo or the little roller coaster in Toon Town. I can't wait til he's tall enough to get on all the rides. Believe it or not in the 20+ years I have been going to Disneyland this time was the first time I didn't make it onto any "mountains."
No Splash Mountain (it was too cold), No Space Mountain (by the time we made it there it was closed due to technical difficulties), and no Thunder Mountain (line was way too long). I was a little sad but there's always next time.
The last 2 rides we went on were Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion. Matty loved Pirates. He kept saying "yo ho ho." He fell asleep on The Haunted Mansion!! Normally that ride is pretty fun but for whatever reason they kept stopping the ride while we were on it so it took forever.  I had my arm around Matty to keep him warm because the ride was cold and when I lifted my arm he got mad. I didn't realize he was asleep until we had to get off. After that we decided it was time to go home.
My mom and Grandma had Kourtney while we were in Disneyland. It was hard to leave her since it was the first time being away from her overnight but I have to admit it was nice to get some uninterrupted sleep. I was sad to send my  mommy home yesterday. I cried a lot. :(


BUT, I just found out my sister Kinsey is coming to visit for a week in March. I'm so looking forward to spending some time with my family. And I also have my Grandma I can visit pretty much whenever I want. Its hard right now since Berto's mom is here but she leaves in a couple weeks.
We're just hanging out right now. If anything else exciting happens I'll blog about it.

Miss Kourtney

Miss baby K had her 6 week appointment yesterday. She got her first round of shots :(
So sad.
Her stats:
9.6lbs- 32%
21 1/4 inches- 39%
She's little ;)

The doctor says she isn't gaining weight as fast as she should. She's healthy just small. Apparently she's been having issues with the formula which I kind of knew but I didn't want to just switch her without consulting the doctor first. So we switched her to the one for sensitive tummies and she has been eating and sleeping so much better! I really really like the doctor we found here in California. Unfortunately poor baby has thrush and a diaper rash so she's got antibiotics for her bottom and her mouth. I feel so bad for her :(
Otherwise she is a happy, healthy little girl. We love her so much. 

Valentine's Day

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

I know I'm a day late... Valentine's Day isn't huge at our house since our anniversary is 6 days later.... AND Berto is not the most thoughtful man on the planet. I usually have to remind him for days before Valentines OR I have to get really sad and upset in order for him to get me something.... I know its sad...

Yesterday I got upset. BUT, I did get some pretty flowers. ;)

Hopefully he'll do something extra special for our anniversary since we are hitting the BIG 

number 5!

Anywho... I'm super excited for this week coming up.

Sunday we are heading to AZ for my 6 week appt, Monday I'm getting my post baby hair and nails done and picking up my mommy and heading back to CA, Tuesday we are going to the happiest place on earth DISNEYLAND, and Wednesday were spending time with my mommy and grandma!! I can NOT wait!!

Ok so I finally uploaded some pictures! Ya me!
Before the pictures though, just a little update.
Both Matthew and Kourtney are growing like weeds. We had to buy Matty new shoes. He's not even 3 and already wears a size 8!! If the kid grows into his feet he'll be SUPER tall. (Which I'm hoping for)
Kourtney is officially out of newborn clothes. Chunky monkey. She is so sweet.
I'm getting a little bit of sweet and sour right now. Matthew is sour ALL THE TIME. He is so incredibly whiny... and no its NOT because of baby K. He is just spoiled I guess..... Certain people like to give him whatever he wants even if he's not behaving.
Kourtney is of course the sweet. She really hardly ever complains. We have our moments in the middle of the night when she decides she's gonna be WIDE awake and I don't want her to be. I do get frustrated but Berto is great with her in those situations. Otherwise she really never complains.
Berto is working as usual. Nothing new really with him. And I am finally adjusting to life with 2 kids and not being pregnant anymore. I keep forgetting all the things I couldn't do because I was pregnant and now I can. Like lifting heavy stuff.... I feel like such a wimp because everything is SO heavy. Now I just wish I could get more sleep and life would be pretty perfect.

While Berto was at work the other day I took his mom and the kids to Point Vincente in Rancho Palos Verdes. It's a lighthouse/park/museum. It was beautiful and we were lucky enough to see the whales! I just went to get us out of the house and we ended up seeing more than we bargained for! It was really cool and totally worth it. I got some awesome pictures too!
Only a couple weeks til we get to go to Disneyland! I'm super excited! Plus I get to see my mommy!

Matty has a new fascination with Nemo. He is constantly asking where he is and everytime he sees the ocean he says, "NEMO!"
Hoping we have more fun adventures in the next couple of weeks!!

1 Month

Happy ONE month to Baby K!!

Yep, Baby K is 1 month old today. I can't believe how time has flown! I blinked and January was over! 

Kourtney is getting bigger everyday. She is still such a good baby. We had about a week of grumpiness and we attributed it to her bottles. The nipples were too "hard" and she refused to drink out of them. So we went with a different brand and she has been much better since.

We took a small "weekend" trip up north to see my dad. (It was actually during the week.) We had a nice time. We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium which was a ton of fun. Matthew absolutely LOVED it. We also got to see one of Berto's cousins, Zynthia. It was so nice to meet more of Berto's family. We had a really nice time. It was great to go somewhere other than Arizona. 

We do have another Arizona trip coming up for my 6 week appointment. We are literally driving on Sunday, my appt is Monday morning and we are turning around and driving right back. We are picking up my mommy on the way and taking her with us. She's gonna watch Baby K while we take Matty and Berto's mom to Disneyland. 

I have lots of pictures I need to upload but I'm too lazy right now.
