Happy Birthday Kourtney!!

Saturday was Miss Kourtney's 3rd birthday!
I'll probably say it every year for the rest of my life but I seriously can't believe how fast they grow!!
We had a small Sofia the First party at home for her. Just the family.
She got a new "bike" that also changes to a scooter.
Grandma got her a Sofia doll and Uncle Steve got her some horses.
She had a blast.
Then on Sunday we went up past Payson to play in some snow.
We didn't play for long because we just don't have the right type of clothes to play in the snow comfortably.
Matthew had the most fun with the snow. Daddy kept picking him up and throwing him into the snow which was like 4 ft deep. Kourtney on the other hand really didn't want anything to do with it.
We brought Uncle Steve with us too. Both Berto and Steven stepped out into the snow that went up to almost their knees. That was pretty funny.

We drove a little farther on this road just to go for a scenic drive but when we got to an intersection I chose to drive straight but the road turned to more snow than road so half way up the hill the tires wouldn't grip any longer and just kept spinning. That scared me. I've never actually gotten stuck in the snow.
Berto got out of the car and helped direct me back down in reverse until I got to a point where I could turn around. But even when turning around the brakes just didn't work with the snow so we kept sliding. I was terrified!
Berto was on my side of the car just directing me and then he slipped and fell. He was there and then he wasn't! I felt so bad! I was at the point where I was no longer comfortable driving with all the sliding and the brakes not working. So i parked and Berto switched with me and he drove back. Luckily we made it back down that hill and back up the one we came down and got out of the area! All in all it was a fun day. Made for a funny story.

New Years was probably one of the most boring years I've had since I fell asleep before midnight a few years ago! The kids stayed away because I made them take a really late nap. But Berto was tired and didn't want to do anything. So we really did absolutely nothing.

Matthew's school started again today so he's back at school.... THANK GOODNESS! He NEEDS to be at school. I just don't have the patience or the tools to keep him completely occupied the way school does. He said he's glad to be back in school.
There are starting to do spelling words this week! It's crazy how much they learn just in Kindergarten! I can't wait for him to start reading consistently so I can buy him books to keep him busy!

Anyway thats all for now.....
