Can't wait for the weekend!!

I'm so EXCITED for this weekend! Why? you may ask????? Because my lovely husband has PROMISED me a LONG awaited date night! We have not been out on a date, JUST US, since Matthew was born....

5 MONTHS!!! That is the longest we have ever gone without going out somewhere together! I never knew how hard it would be once the baby got here, but between being financially strained, finding time, and someone willing to babysit my newborn it been so DIFFICULT! BUT my hubby has promised me some alone time so he better pull through! We just have to find a willing babysitter that we both trust... hopefully my sister Kinsey will be willing and able.hehehe... We have been really busy lately. Berto has been working non-stop, I've been working and taking care of Matthew. He's a handful in itself... but i LOVE him. :) Today was Berto's day off and we were planning on spending the day inside since it was SUPPOSED to rain all week but the sun decided to make an appearance so we went to Freestone Park with Matthew and played for a little while. Matthew LOVED the swings. I sat him in the one that is for little kids and he actually sat up without any help and was laughing! He loved it! It was so cute! He also liked the slide but not as much as the swing. Well i hope the weather people are right and that it IS gonna rain the rest of the week cuz i love rainy weather. Well until next time! Thanksgiving!!

BABY'S First Thanksgiving!!! Today was so fun! It was great to have the whole family over and to just enjoy each others company. We put up the Christmas tree and the decorations. My house is soooo pretty and festive! Matthew is loving all the pretty lights on the tree and of course he LOVED all the attention he got from everyone! MY grandma (Matthew's Great-Grandma) is here for the week and i LOVE when she comes to visit! Actually I love anytime i get to spend with her! She's my favorite! I wish she lived closer to me. :( We played cards and yahtzee and just hung out all day. my mom, me, and my grandma made all the food which i think turned out really yummy! I made homemade apple pie, pumpkin pie, and cheesecake. OH and my cheesecake was SOOOOOO yummy. I should have made 2! Anyway, Thanksgiving was a total success and i couldn't ask for a better day! I just wanna say I am so thankful for my family. And I am so thankful to have such a good baby! I love that i can put him on the floor and let him play or in the swing or bouncer and he is happy. he can be held or not, he doesnt care. Grateful

There are just soooo many things to be grateful for! i have a wonderful family! matthew is just a joy and such a good baby. i have a loving husband who would do anything for me and treats me like a princess :) i have a great house and a great job. what more could i possibly ask for? what brought this on?? well for one its the holidays.... and 2, i have seen so many underprivileged people who dont have half of what i do and yet i find myself complaining about such trivial things. this makes me feel like a horrible person. so i just thought id take a minute and just say that there are a lot of things i am grateful to have. Great friends- i miss my shawna so much! i cant wait til she comes to visit! she is my one friend who was always there for me and always is! Thank you! My family- we are strange and a little left of center but i love everyone and am glad to be a part of it. Kinsey-my little sister who now lives with me. thank you for keeping me entertained when Berto is at work and i have NOTHING to do. and thank you for always helping me with baby without ever complaining! you wont understand just how much this means to me until you have a baby of your own! i love you! My mom (who is so wonderful to have quit her job after i had matthew and babysits him so i can work) so happy that i dont have to put him in daycare! My new sister-in-law sylvia (she makes my cliffy poo so happy) CONGRATS on being married! :) My mother-in-law! she has helped berto and i so much! she is a wonderful woman who i LOVE so much! i couldnt have asked for a better mother-in-law!!! Dr. Garcia... such a wonderful, loving person! I could not ask for a better person to work for!! and also her daughter Sarah Bel. :) i LOVE my job :) and not very many people can actually say that and mean it... im just plain GRATEFUL!!!

***i put up my christmas lights on the house yesterday and they look sooo pretty. my neighbor did it first and so i felt the need to brighten up our neighborhood and make it more cheerful! ill put up pictures when its complete. i only have a few up right now. ill finish on thanksgiving. ( that when we always put up the christmas decor)*** QUESTION?? Does this make me "THAT GIRL" who puts up my christmas decorations way too early and celebrates for like 1/3 of the year?? Eh who cares! its the holidays and this is MY favorite time of the year! No one can ruin that for me!

PeAs!!

So Matty just turned 4 months so we FINALLY get to start feeding him people food! hehe sort of... So we are starting with PEAS!! It was ridiculously funny to watch Matthew eat peas. at first he really didn't like them but now he eats them no problem! here's a couple pics of the cuteness!! . And just for fun... Hehe My baby is so dang cute and growing up way too fast! Just recently like the last 2 days he has been babbling more and more! ITs so cute to listen to him! I wish i could figure out how to put a dang video on here... Oh well you'll just have to take my word for it. Later!

4 Months!!

My baby is 4 MONTHS old today! We took him to his 4 month appointment today and he weighs 14lbs, 15.5oz and he's 25 inches long. I can't believe how fast 4 months has gone by! I am so grateful to be blessed with such a beautiful baby boy!

AND!!!!!! Halloween Pictures! Matty was Eeyore for Halloween and probably the cutest Eeyore I've seen. (excluding the real one) SOOO Cute! *** Oh and what the heck happened to the weather?? Are we Arizonians being punished for some strange reason?? ITS NOVEMBER! We shouldn't have to use our dang A/C in November! UGh..... VERY diappointing! Hopefully our beautiful weather will come back soon! Later!

Go Suns Go!!

I would just like to say YA! for the Suns actually winning the 1st game of the season 109-107 against the Clippers. I'm SOOO excited for basketball season to start up again. It has become my favorite sport. Last season I was VERY pregnant and that was pretty much the only thing that kept me sane. Haha. I would also like to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my oldest brother Steven. He turns the BIG 24 today! What an old fart! haha j/k. We didn't do much. We're just hanging out watching the Suns opening game. Chillin out at home. Hopefully we'll win! Here's Matty enjoying the game. He is totally into it!! So cute! Later!

Saturday was AmAziNg!!!

Yesterday was a pretty normal Saturday for me. I spent most of it with my mommy around town. (Berto was at work.) We went shopping and had lunch, you know normal mommy/daughter stuff.We went to get her computer from her house because I was going to show her how to download something and decided while we over by her house we would stop by the Target. The one on Power and McKellips... We were looking at the baby clothes and turned down the aisle where they have the walkers/swings/cribs on display and my mom saw someone playing with their baby in one of the walkers and asked how old their baby was. He said 4 months. I told him his baby was really cute and we kept walking. My mom got all excited because Matthew is 4 months and she had been dying to see what he would do in one of those walkers. As we passed the man I realized I knew him from somewhere but I just couldn't quite put my finger on WHERE i knew him from when all of the sudden it hit me like a 10lb bowling ball!! OMG that is LEANDRO BARBOSA from the Phoenix SUNS!!!!!!!! I was sooooooooooooo EXCITED i could barely hold it in. ( actually i didnt... we went down another aisle and i jumped up and down with joy and clapped my hands like a little kid on Christmas morning.) I passes by him again just to confirm i had actually seen him and it was DEFINITELY him! So we decided we would go walk past him one more time but just so he didnt think we were stalking him we made a point of saying, "lets go look at the shoes." So as we walked past him the final time he was speaking Portuguese to his family and that is how i KNEW it was Leandro Barbosa. HE'S FROM BRAZIL!!! Then as we left Target we were getting into our car and he was parked only 1 space away. He was driving a Black Dodge and his family was in a Black Range Rover. OMG all i have to say is that it was VERY VERY exciting for me. Barbosa is one of our (me and berto) FAVORITE players and then to run into him at Target of all places and actually get to speak to him!! SOOOOOOOOO COOL! I would have taken a picture but he was with his family and he probably doesnt get any privacy. Id he were alone I would have but i wanted to respect the fact he was with his daughter or whoever the little girl was. This kind of stuff never happens to me so Im OVERWHELMED with excitement! BEAR Matty LOVES Mr. Bear and its so cute to watch him give LOVE to his new friend! and i would just like to thank my mother for getting me hooked to the my zoo and island bingo games on FACEBOOK. Im officially addicted, haha im actually only blogging now because im waiting to make money for the my zoo game. im pathetic. This i know. Later!

Dear October

Dear October, You have indeed failed and I think disappointed every living person in the state of Arizona. How could you make over 100 degree weather this time of year? We look forward to you, October, for reason that when you come the weather changes and becomes the most PERFECT time of year. BUT you have failed. Although you did redeem yourself a little by throwing a RIDICULOUSLY beautiful day at us today! I think the high was only like 83. GORGEOUS! Keep it up and i might forgive you... Sincerely, Julie And I am so HAPPY that today was my day off and I could actually enjoy the weather outside! I just chilled at home with the hubby and Matty. It was a good day... MOHAWK! :) Everyone tells me I need to cut his hair but I just can't do it! I was blessed with a baby with a TON of hair. He has more hair than a lot of babies that are 6 months older than him! How could I cut it?? ugh.... I refuse!

DiNNer DaTE wiTH My MoMMy

I'm so glad its Friday! TGIF!! After the week I've had the weekend is a welcome gift for me! Since Berto is at work I went to dinner with my mommy. We made it a date and had a TON of fun! I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time! Just what I needed to cheer up after everything. We went to Olive Garden and I had what I think is the BEST salad EVER! Haha it was just their regular salad that you get whenever you go there, but today it was so GOOD! I must have had like 4 helpings! Either way it was totally YUMMY!

Afterwards we went over to Fiesta Mall to walk off our GINORMOUS meals. I found Matty's Halloween costume! He's gonna be Eeyore. The baby in the picture is super chunky and Matty has some chunk to him so I think he'll look SUPER cute in it! At least its NOT a pumpkin!

That's all i really care about! I can't wait to take pictures of him in it! Hopefully he won't be a grouch and will let me get some pictures of him! Well i HAVE to finish these dang invitations! Later!

sLeePiNg BaBy MeAnS MoMmY iS FREEEEE!!! : )

Right now i LIVE for moments when Matthew is asleep and i have a free moment of time! As i have said before i took on the VERY challenging task of handmaking ALL the invitations for my brother Clif's wedding. Little did i know at the time just how many invitations i would be making or just how intricate every little detail to these invitations are. Don't get me wrong i am a creative person and I LOVE that i am able to do this for their wedding but I SOOOO could have used maybe 2 more months to get them done. He proposed in July and they are getting married Nov. 14. I had exactly 2 months to finish 200 HANDMADE invitations. All in all, I think they turned out super cute and the best part is that they aren't perfect and not one of them is exactly the same as another. Its what makes them UNIQUE! They are supposed to go out by the end of this week.... OH CRAP its already Thursday! haha j/k/ All I have left to do is address them and then off they go to the lovely couple to be stuffed with pictures and stamped! I really had NO idea how popular my brother is and how BIG his fiancee's family is! This should be a totally FUN wedding! I'm so happy for the both of them! On a different note! I am totally EnJoYiNg the weather in AZ at night! I open all my windows and doors and turn off the A/C. Its so nice that our electric bill will finally start to go down!! And the cutest picture of Matty!!!

10 ThiNgS i lOve!

I feel the need to post things that I LOVE today because i am having the week from you know where! I thought Monday was bad, Tuesday was worse, and it just seems to keep getting worse. So I am reminding myself of things that make me happy! I need to cheer up! Here goes... 1. My hubby Berto and baby Matthew 2. My Family & Friends- they are the best! 3. My job :) (bethesda pediatrics) 4. Disneyland- I want to go there SOOOO bad! Anyone wanna take me? j/k 5. www.facebook.com 6. Target~ i can get into LOTS of trouble here! 7. Purses 8. Baby Toys are sooooo much fun! I can't wait for Matty to start playing with them more! 9. Spaghetti~ Which I'm totally having for dinner... YUM!! 10. My Blanket (Blankey) haha yes i am 22 and i still have a blankey... so what? He's been through it all with me!! Even when i had Matthew he was there. See the purpleish blanket behind me?? YEP! that's him! LOVE Blankey! :) Please excuse this terrible picture of me! I was in labor and not feeling so great. I think i had JUST gotten my Epidural so ya.... EWW!

Matthew is going to be 15 weeks old this friday!! We just started giving him rice cereal (spoon fed) and it is SOOOOO CUTE!! I cant believe he is going to be 4 months in a week! Its gone by so fast! Life with him has been amazing and hectic all at once! i wouldnt change anything though! Here's some pics of Matty eating his cereal... Today had been a CRAZY day! i though Monday was bad but i was wrong! People were rude at work and we are so incredibly busy this winter because of the dang swine flu pandemic. Everyone is freaking out that they are gonna get it or that their children are gonna get it. All these people just live in fear and i dont think its healthy. i LOVE LOVE LOVE the winter season because work is busier and the weather and the holidays. i just plain LOVE winter but i will be grateful when THIS winter is over so that people will hopefully calm down and be nicer! At least i am lucky enough that my mom comes to my house and watches Matty so my husband and i can work and not put him in daycare! Thanks mom! im also so grateful for my wonderful husband for doing all he does! he is amazing! I look forward to tomorrow, its hump day and i get off work early...
