So I missed an entire month....

Good Grief, I don't even know why I try anymore. Blogging has completely been put on the back burner of my oh so busy life.

ok so here goes....

APRIL was pretty uneventful.

There was Easter of course, and the kids were super excited. We were so happy because the Easter bunny actually had everything prepared instead of waiting until the last minute!
Kourtney got a talking cat (what else) and some board books and candy.
Matthew got some mini star wars figures, the movie Wall E, and candy.

Skip til the end of April....

We decided to take a spur of the moment trip to the San Diego Zoo. It was actually a lot of fun! I've now been three times and this was the only one I actually enjoyed. The first time I was 7 months pregnant with Matthew.... I have no idea what we were thinking! And the second time was a month after Kourtney was born. It was really hard with a newborn.
Kourtney LOVED all the cats of course and Matthew loved everything but he was super obsessed with the Panda. We got to see koalas, monkeys, flamingos, rhinos, elephants, turtles, snakes, a peacock, an owl, lots and lots of different birds, and so much more. That zoo is huge!!

MAY

Lets see....

We've made quite a few trips to the mall just to walk around and ride the carousel. Matthew is the one who will actually ask to go walk around the mall for a little minute. (His words, not mine.)
Does that sound familiar Mom, Grandma???? Oh how many times we went to the mall just for the Hello Kitty store. haha
Now Kourtney is getting obsessed with Hello Kitty and I can't help but laugh. She's a mini me.

We've been going to arcades every once in a while just to get out of the house and with $20 you can play a bunch of games and win a lot of tickets to get prizes with. It's been really fun. I'm getting really good and the claw machine. I've won Matty a Spiderman and Kourtney a hello kitty.

Matty got a hair cut. It's adorable. We had to drive all the way to Ahwatukee to find somewhere that will actually cut it the way I tell them too. I don't know why its so difficult.

Matty's very last day of preschool was May 21. It was their yearly trip to the Sea Life Aquarium. Both kids had a good time this year. Matty of course loved it last year but Kourtney was only 15 months old so she didn't really care about anything. We took Aunt Kinsey with us this year since she's never been and that was a lot of fun. It was bittersweet. I almost cried when I hugged Mrs. Barclay. We've spent two years working with her and she's retiring so we won't see her anymore. She has been a very important person in my life especially this past year. She will be truly missed by both of us.

Ms. Lisa & Mrs. Barclay

Now thats its Summer, my days consist of unruly children, my cross stitch,  my crime shows, maybe a nap here and there, and naturally my insomnia is back. I've been up til three every night this past week. WHY???
I guess because I know I don't have to get up early and then when I do decide to go to bed a smidge earlier Berto is snoring away like a chainsaw. Its a pretty sucky situation.

So since I've been up so late I've been working like a mad woman on my next cross stitch. Beauty and the Beast. I started when I finished Snow White back in March and I'm already a little more than half way done. Like I said before my goal is to finish the whole collection.
This is all of them:

And the one I'm working on

Just for kicks some more pictures of us. Mostly the kids cuz I know that's all anyone cares about anyway....

This is the most terrifying Happy meal box. Once its seen it can't be
unseen. What is Mcdonald's trying to do to our kids???

And naturally when I was in the middle of writing this blog post which I've been procrastinating for forever THIS happens. My computer shuts down because it needs to configure! It couldn't wait til I wasn't using the computer? Ugh.

Story of my life.
Well I have to go be a mom now and get rid of toys since my kids refuse to pick them up. Til next time!
