The one about the 3 "things"

There are only 3 things Matthew needs to go to sleep... And man oh man am I thankful for them because without them I would NOT be here updating my blog, I would be trying to sooth a cranky baby...

1. BLANKEY!!

This is the blanket we "stole" from the hospital when we were released and he LOVES it... Its so darn soft. He rubs it across his face when he's about to fall asleep.

2. BINKY

Yes he still has a binky. I have decided I probably won't try and wean him off of it until he is closer to 18 months-2 years. Because right now... when we are at Walmart I would prefer to stuff a binky in his mouth when he decides he needs to chew on the cart then to let him just slobber all over the cart.... Do you know how many germs those things have?? EWW... Ill stick with the binky.. Thanks.

3. PETER PAN

The soundtrack... I noticed just how much our little one Loves music and thought that maybe if he had some in his room when he was trying to sleep, he would sleep better. And I was right. He sleep a whole heck of a lot better since we put the stereo in his room and play Peter Pan... :)

So I am thankful for these things because now I can take a much needed nap before the little one wakes up. Sweet Dreams :)

The one where we go private to keep the CRAZIES OUT!!!!

Yep  that's right...


 It's officially time for me to make this blog private. I've already had people post rude comments on here that I don't appreciate and I have come to the decision that I don't really want everyone and their mother reading about my family.

The one where he starts walking...

Yep that's right! My baby boy is walking.... FINALLY! 

He turns 14 months next month which is like a week.... and the lazy 

boy has finally decided he's gonna walk... its so darn cute. He looks like 

baby frankenstein....hahaha. I'm starting to realize he's growing up so fast! 

Walking was really the last BIG mile stone before he goes to school.... 

well maybe potty training (which I am NOT looking forward to) 

I guess I just need to have another one!

Totally kidding! Sooooooooo not ready for another one yet.... someday.

In October I am excited that I will be going part time 

at work so that I get to stay home most the day and be a full time mommy!  

I have been wanting to stay home with Matthew for a while now and life 

has finally allowed this to happen.... well in Oct that is. 

My mother-in-law is coming to visit in Sept for a month! 

No worries though... i am lucky enough to have a mother-in-law I love 

and get along with! She is such a blessing to me when she comes to visit 

and I miss her dearly when she leaves. She's from el Salvador so we only see 

her once a year. I can't wait for Matthew to see her again. S

he hasn't seen him since he was a month old. 

Let's see... oh! Matthew is on his 6th ear infection in 6 months. 

So we have to go see an ear specialist next week for tubes.... ugh... 

poor kid has already had more problems in his first year of life than 

most people do their whole life! He is most definitely my child. Well that's all for now... ill update when I know more about his tube surgery!

Boo Hoo.... We're Back

As you can tell I am SUPER excited to be back

 in the hottest place on earth. Hear the sarcasm there?

We spent the last few days in BEAUTIFUL California. The

temps there never got over 80 degrees and at the

beach it was only 60 degrees! Really in the middle of

July? YES and it was wonderful! I did NOT want

to come back but alas duties call.

So we went to visit my Grandma and it was

so relaxing! I haven't had a vacation I think since

February for our anniversary and it was well over due!!

We went to the beach and walked down the Hollywood

Walk of Fame. We spent lots of quality time with

Grandma and Matthew just loves Great Grandma! :)

We got Matty his first pair o f shoes, they are so
darn cute. He is almost walking, I give him a couple
weeks and he'll be all independent. My baby is
growing up too fast! He just turned 13 months.

All in all it was a great trip and I

wish we could have stayed longer or Heck just stayed

FOREVER! I want out of AZ all together. I'm sick

of the hot weather and the dryness. YUCK! I want

to go somewhere that has 4 seasons and rains every

 once in awhile. That would be nice... we'll just have

to see what the future holds. :)

I found a new book series... well its not new.

 I found out that new show Pretty Little Liars was

a book series before it was a TV show

so I bought the first 2 books in the series and

I'm hooked! I knew I would be because I LOVE the

show, but you know the books are always better

than the movies or the shows!!

Anyway, I'm thinking about going private just because I'm sick

 of weirdos reading my blog... especially since it has Matthew

in it... any thoughts?? let me know what you think :)

California HERE WE COME!!

We are FINALLY taking a vacation from our hectic lives! We're going to California this weekend and getting away! I can NOT wait to get out of this HOT state.

I can't wait to sit on the beach and just RELAX.

Thanks to all my friends that constantly post about new books you read! I love that I can get ideas if new books and already have a review done!! It sure makes life a little easier :)

6. Olive Garden's Italian Dressing!!!
I had NO idea that they sell it by the bottle and my co-workers took me there for my birthday lunch and bought me a bottle! OMG thank you! I AM OBSESSED! I have had like 10 salads since then.

7. Pretty Little Liars- This show is absolutely addicting....  and it was a book series before it was a show so I'm dying to read the series....

8. HUGE... I didn't think I would like this show but I do. Its kind of captivating and different than all the other shows that are on right now....


9. SLEEP- need I say more??

10. My new house! I LOVE the house we are renting! Its so beautiful!

I'm going to go relax... My birthday is tomorrow.... the BIG 23! I'm hoping to just relax and spend some quality time with the family!! And then a much needed date night with the hubby.

HaPpy Birthday & 4th Of July

We celebrated Matthew's 1st Birthday on Saturday. 

Thanks to everyone that came and for the birthday wishes. He 

had a really great day!!  He got lots of gifts and had a lot of 

people come to his party!! He had 2 cupcakes, (vanilla and chocolate) 

and a scoop of ice cream. (He didn't have a nap ALL day long.....)

We did his party ALL Toy Story. AND just about 

every toy he gotwas Toy Story! We re-did his room that theme so it 

was nice to receive a lot of the toys from the movie. We just have to 

finish decorating and put up some shelves and then we will be done!!

All in all it was a good party. Like 2 days before we 

found out Matty has another ear infection so for being sicky he was 

really happy! You would never know he was sick!

I've said it a thousand times and I'm saying it again.... 

I CAN'T BELIEVE MATTHEW IS ONE!!! 

He's old now.... Haha j/k.

On Sunday we got to see fireworks. We made sure Matthew got 

to see them. The last few years we haven't really seen any good fireworks. 

Th e first year we were married I think we watched them on TV. (woo hoo) 

The 2nd year we drove to the airport and watched them from the top 

story of the parking structure... (again woo hoo) And last year I had Just

barely had Matthew, literally, he was barely a day old, and we tried going to 

the airport again but we were late and ended up parking on the freeway 

from the traffic!!

So this year we were gonna go to Schnepf Farms and watch them there 

but we ended up in a parking lot near the new Banner Ironwood hospital with

a PERFECT view! Matty just loved all the lights and colors and had a blast! 

I'm glad we were able to see them!

It has been one AWESOME weekend! I've had Berto 

home with me since Friday and he doesn't go back to work until Thursday! 

Almost an entire week offof work and home with me! This hasn't happened 

since he started working  for Verizon.

Tomorrow is Matthew's 12 Month Well Check so I will have

stats and updates from his visit. He's getting shots tomorrow too so he

probably won't be happy.
