Yeah for school!

I'm glad to say summer break is over and school has started again. 

Matty had his first day back and he is already having so much fun!

He had a busy first day. Right after class we saw the orthopedic doctor and he got his cast. 

He's so adorable. 

Lots of boo boos!

We have been a house full of owies lately. Matty woke up Tuesday morning and was limping. I waited for a few days to see if it got better but it didn't so I took him to the pediatrician. She sent us for x-rays. The X-rays came back saying there was a non-specific gray area on the 3rd metatarsal. Basically they can't tell if its broken or just swollen blood vessels or such. So my pediatrician told me to schedule an appt with an orthopedic doctor to be safe. This was last Friday. I couldn't get into an orthopedic doctor until Wednesday. So matty limped for a few more days. He looked like he was getting better but I kept the appt anyway to be safe. 

Wednesday came and we saw the dr. He  looked at the X-ray and told me that he definitely has a crack in his foot that looks like its beginning to heal. He then gave me two options. 

1. I could let it heal on its own and risk someone stepping on his foot or him jumping on it the wrong way and possibly break it clean through and end up in a cast

OR

2. I could cast it right then and there and it would be on for 3 weeks. 

Well I chose to just cast it.

We now have a bright neon ORANGE cast on his left foot. He looks like a traffic cone!

I feel so bad because I have no idea what he did. I think we come to the conclusion he kicked Kinsey's bed frame in the middle of the night and busted it. 

He seems to be doing really well with it. It doesn't seem to ever bother him which is good. 

Worst part?

Sponge baths. 

It's so annoying not being able to just give him a bath.

Also during all of this I slipped on a stupid toy and popped my hip out of place and then back in. I thought I was going to die. I cried like a baby for a good 20 minutes and have myself 2 black eyes from popping the blood vessels. I looked so stupid. 

Miss K fell and hit her face on Kinsey's bed frame and bruised her face. 

We are just walking injuries. My poor kids. They didn't have a chance in this world to be normal. I trip over thread in the carpet. I can't walk through any doorway without hitting my hips or elbows on something. It's really pathetic. 

Also Berto keeps getting mail from life insurance companies and cremation places. I think the universe is trying to tell us something. He gets mail like this at least twice a week. It's creepy. 

And grandma they finally uploaded the terrible photo at don cucos from my birthday.

Toes and pigtails!

Two things miss kourtney has sat through with no complaints! I'm totally surprised because I figured she would flail around be difficult but she isn't. She waits very patiently until I'm done. Pigtails are of course adorable and her toes are so cute!!

Matty is being his normal self. I personally can't wait for school to go back....

(7 days) but who's counting right?

So excited!!!

Haha the iPhone finally has the application for my blog! So I can now blog from my phone which make my life 10 times easier than it was before! Ahhhh I'm so excited about this! 

I just wanted to express this! And I snapped this gorgeous orchid at Safeway the other day! I'm jealous of its beauty. I would have bought it but $30 seems a little steep for a flower that I'll probably kill In a week....

Mini Vacation

Last week we took a mini vacation to see my Grandma. It was nice to get away from the heat for a few days.
We went to the beach and an outlet mall. Went and saw the house my Grandma Lois lived in before she passed away. And pretty much just relaxed.
Matthew and Kourtney had a blast running all over Grandma's house.
We also celebrated my birthday. It was a lot of fun. Kinsey called and had her entire play cast sing me happy birthday. We went to Don Cuca's for lunch and I was sang to there while wearing a sombrero, AND Grandma made me a cake and everyone sung to me. I felt the love. :)
They took a picture of me in the sombrero but it hasn't been uploaded yet. Maybe if they ever do i'll put it on here.

FOUR!

Happy 4th Birthday Matthew!

I say it every year but I still can't believe how old he is getting! FOUR!
He had a Monsters University party. We took him to see the movie a couple weeks ago and he LOVED it!

We opened presents, went to see Grandma, went to Toys R Us for his special birthday announcement and balloon and got a toy of course.

Later in the day when everyone could make to our house we had cake. (Which I made)

All in all it was a pretty good day.
