Back to Reality...

This Vacation was so amazing!
We relaxed, shopped, went to Disneyland, ate LOTS of yummy food, and had a WONDERFUL time!
I could not have asked for a better vacation.
I'm warning you now, this is a LONG post with A TON of pictures!!

We had some CRAZY, mean weather on the way.

The first day we were there we went to Santa Monica Pier.
My mom and I went on the roller coaster, and Matty got to ride the little airplanes.
We were attacked by pigeons because my mom thought it would be a good
idea to throw them a piece of my funnel cake.  BAD IDEA!
Scared the crap out of Matty. Funny though.
Me and my mom riding the roller coaster. We're in the way back.
Matty was very excited about riding the airplane ride.

Trying to show him the button to push so we go up and down.
LOVE this pic of Grandma and Matty

Chasing the pigeons

We went to a lot of different malls. Just trying to find stuff we were interested in.
They have such a variety in California. One mall will be ghetto, like Fiesta Mall.
And the next will be WAY too nice for me with stores like Cartier, Chanel, and
Bloomingdales. $795.00 for a poop brown pilot jacket is absolutely ridiculous!
That's 2 car payments and then some for us!

My favorite mall was called The Block at Orange. Its over by Disneyland.
LOVED it. Had so many shops that I love and that is where I discovered this
awesome store!

I have heard people talk about this place and always thought it was one of those
super expensive shops. Totally wrong! They have such cute clothes for way cheap!
We bought Matthew a whole bunch of shirts and pants for under $30!! New favorite!

Monday we set off for Disneyland. We stayed the night and went to the park on Tuesday. Berto's birthday was on Wedsnesday but he
wanted to spend it with Matthew and everyone so we decided to go to Disneyland early.
(We were planning on going ON his birthday)

Disneyland was so much fun! We did both Disneyland and California Adventure.
Unfortunately, a LOT of the park(s) were closed for enhancement. Not the rides, just
portions of the parks. Made it really hard to get around. Instead of cutting across one of the "lands" we had to walk ALL the way around. LOTS of walking.

THIS was the traffic we sat in for almost an hour on the way to Disneyland. Turns out some lady's car stalled in the middle of the freeway and instead of moving it to the side, she sat there and everyone had to stare. CRAZY!

This went on for like 20 miles!!

California Adventure!

Waiting in line for TOY STORY MANIA! Longest line of the whole day!
Berto was player one and I was player two. I was beating him the WHOLE game until the very end!! SO CLOSE!

The Ferris Wheel. We usually don't get on this
because Berto doesn't like it, BUT we wanted to see the development on the "Cars" town. They are building a whole new "land" dedicated to the movie Cars and we are super excited about it! Can't wait to take Matthew!

SUCH a beautiful day!

Trying to get a good picture
I wanted a picture in front of the castle. Please excuse the fact that I totally look pregnant in this picture. I am NOT!!

Haha I LOVE how into this game Berto was. Totally kicked my butt! I SUCK at this game!

This was the cool toy we got matty from Disneyland
Kisses for Daddy on his Birthday!!
Berto celebrated his 27th birthday!

We went to this cool little town near Santa Barbara called Solvang. It was such a beautiful day! (Pretty much EVERY day we were there was gorgeous. Awesome weather!)
Berto and I rented one of those 2 person bikes. It had a cart in the front for Matthew to ride in. It was a lot of fun but it was definitely a work out! Every where we turned was up hill!!

"Grandma, get this thing off me!"
He's so cute :)

Matty got a new ride. He's a stud muffin! I LOVE him :)

Last but not least, we went to the beach and just hung out for a little while. Again, it was a gorgeous day. The water was FREEZING but totally worth dipping my feet into!

He wasn't too sure about the big, blue, wet thing.
Can you tell I'm a tourist? I wore a long sleeve shirt and skinny jeans to the beach!!
(I didn't bring any "cool" clothing because it was supposed to be cold the whole time)

Matthew really enjoyed playing the piano with Great Grandma Lorraine.

Our new car did AWESOME gas mileage. We paid $3.95 for gas while we were there! So coming back to gas prices at $3.39 was kind of nice. I miss California. I LOVE it there. I LOVE the atmosphere. I LOVE visiting with my Grandma.
I don't miss the expensiveness of the state. I don't miss the amazing, rude people.
I don't miss the jacked up parking (they don't believe in BIG vehicles there)
I can't wait to go back. Although I think our next vacation
( maybe a mini one)
will be here:

Hopefully.
We'll see....
PS: I actually had to buy storage for my google account because I have too many pictures!! It was only $5 for 20 GB for the entire year so not too bad but geez! I can't believe I had to buy storage!
