Serrano Love: Slowly crawling out of my hole...

I have been a hole for awhile. Been a little depressed for many reasons but mostly just life things. I was given medication and it seems to be helping. I also have had terrible insomnia again like I did when I pregnant with Kourtney so the doctor gave me some Ambien to help me sleep. Its been so nice having that. :)
So lets see if I can catch up since I'm lacking in the blog department.

It's SUMMER!
Am I really excited??
NO, not really. Summer is hot and kind of boring. Since Matthew is done with preschool for the year he is having a hard time adjusting to being stuck with me and Kourtney all day long.
He needs an outlet.
He had one friend from school that we had one play date with but it seems she is always unavailable when I ask her to get together which is frustrating. So I have given up on her. It's sad though because Matthew and her son were like the best of friends at school and I was so hoping he would keep a friend especially over the summer. But I've done all I can and she isn't cooperating.

We've been swimming a couple of times. The pool here at our new place is nice. For some reason Matthew has completely regressed with his swimming. Last summer he would swim around and jump in the pool all by himself. But this year, whole different story. It's like he forgot everything. He won't let go, he won't jump, he won't even get in the water half the time. Like what the heck happen???
Kourtney, on the other hand, is a total water baby. LOVES the pool. She has a blast just splashing. SO cute. My mom got her the cutest little two piece swim suit!

Aunt Kinsey is moving back in with us again. We are looking forward to it simply because the money will help and we like having her around. She helps a lot with the kiddos. :)

Matthew turns 4 in 8 days!!! I can't believe he's already that old!! These past 4 years feel like they've flown by! We aren't doing a big party or anything this year. Just some family and thats about it. He's obsessed with Superman right now. ALL super heroes but Superman is his absolute favorite.

Kourtney is talking more and more.

I got her to say Grandma once
She babbles a lot!
We are still working on getting her to point to body parts. I know she knows but she's stubborn and just doesn't want to do it.
She listens really well. I tell her to pick up the toys and she'll do it. I'll tell her no or don't and she stops what she's doing.
She can climb up stairs all by herself. We're still working on going down.
She almost has enough hair for a little pony tail. We're trying :)

We took Matthew and Kourtney to see Monster's University today.
Matthew LOVED it!
Kourtney?? WORST theater experience of my life! I ended up sitting in the lobby with her for an hour and missed the whole movie!! And I REALLY wanted to see it :(
Oh well I guess I'll just have to wait for it to come out on DVD.

Berto and I are good. Nothing different there. He works, I stay home.
Although when he is home he is obsessed with Counting Cars and Pawn stars.... I swear thats all he watches.
I am obsessed with Candy Crush Saga and Pinterest (the humor and food sections)

Other than that nothing new.
My mom, me, and the kids are excited to see Grandma (Great) next month. I'm looking forward to getting away and it just so happens to be on my birthday weekend so that'll be nice.

I've also been working on my cross stitch again. At this rate it will take me 5 years to finish. It'll be 2 in November :(
