 I have lots to talk about.... Matthew is finally sitting! He just loves to sit and he's so good at it! 

Last weekend was our 3rd anniversary. We decided to take a vacation and spend the week in California and a few days in Disneyland. Which is where we spent our honeymoon 3 years ago! I can't believe how fast these 3 years have gone by and now we have a baby!! Time flies!

 We brought my mom with us since MY grandma lives near Disneyland and that way Great Grandma got to see Matthew and my mom gets to see her mom. Whoo! Anyway, so we dropped Matty and My mom off with my grandma and headed off to Disneyland for 3 days! It was really weird to be away from Matthew. Neither, me or Berto, have spent a whole night away from Matthew since he's been in our lives!! I think by the second day we were both having separation anxiety. But, it was a welcomed break and a WONDERFUL vacation!!

As a special request from my Aunt Jo, I HAD to find Mickey to give him a hug for her! My first thought were, YA RIGHT! Trying to find Mickey at Disneyland and actually being able to get anywhere near him, NO WAY!

BUT i was wrong and I found him and I got a picture ALONE with him!! So there you go

 After spending 3 days at Disney we were absolutely Exhausted! So the 3rd day we left early because we were anxious to get back to see our baby. We spent the rest of week hanging out with my grandma and at the beach. It was so relaxing and so fun! I couldnt have asked for a better vacation. I can't wait to do again! Hopefully our next vaca will be to El Salvador. ( My hubby is from there and I would love to see his country!)

 THE BEACH!!!

Matthew LOVED the beach. He was laughing and smiling the whole time until I wanted a picture.... of course! 

We started Matthew on second foods a couple weeks ago! My baby is growing up so dang fast! He trying to crawl but he's just not quite there yet! He gets up on his elbows and knees and rocks but doesn't quite get that he can use his knees and arms to move around! 

We also moved Matthew to his own room this week! I have been so apprehensive about doing this just because I worry so he's been in our room. But I finally got the courage and moved him and he is doing really well! He LOVES his crib! I'm still surprised at how well he has transitioned! Well thats all for now!!

Its been awhile....

SOOOO... its been a very busy/hectic month... This is how my entire family has felt for the past 4 days... I made the mistake of leaving roast out on the counter "defrosting" for too long and had no idea I would poison my family by still cooking and serving it. This is exactly why i HATE cooking! This very reason! I'm always so afraid that my meat isn't done or that I'm gonna make someone sick and sure enough it has happened!! It makes me never want to cook again! My long "lost" friend Chelsea found me on facebook and we started talking again! She is now a cosmetologist and cut/styled my hair for me! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new hair cut! Its so nice to have a style that I HAVE to do everyday! I can't just throw it up in a ponytail... Its also nice to have a girlfriend that lives close to me and that I can go out and have lunch with or go shopping with!! Something I'm sure me and my Shawna would be doing if she were here closer to me!! My precious baby boy had to have surgery this past monday. He had to have his hernias repaired and his circumcision revised. He did so well! We had it done at the new Cardon Children's Hospital and it was SOOOO nice! Everyone was so sweet and Matthew's Recovery Nurse was the BEST! They gave him a teddy bear before surgery but in the recovery room he threw up all over it so the nurse called like 4 different departments trying to find him a new teddy bear!! She was so sweet! He ended up getting a little puppy instead but he also got to keep his teddy bear!! It was a very pleasant experience for what we were there for. Thanks to everyone for their prayers and thoughts for our baby boy and for me too. I was such a mess. Its so hard to watch your baby go in for surgery! He's only 6 months old and I was so not happy about it! But he is doing so well! you would never know he even had any surgery! He is so happy and smiley! He is such a good baby! He's my stud muffin! (That's what his bib says!) Haha I love this picture! I was playing the Wii with my sister and I had sat Matthew next to me and he was perfectly happy... He was just so quiet I kind of forgot he was there and the next thing I know he's asleep sitting up!! I couldn't help but take a picture and laugh a little!! Babies can sleep in the weirdest positions!! I was at the Target in Queen Creek, which is where I found Matthew's stroller/swing/and play pin combo when I was pregnant, and I always look at the high chair when I go to that Target because I knew eventually I would want it so that we would have the whole set.... So I went there a couple weeks ago and I was sooooooooo excited because it was clearanced!! His high chair is normally like $130 and I snagged it for 70 bucks!! I was very happy about that because Matthew is finally old enough that he needs to have a high chair to sit in and it happened at just the right time!! He was pretty happy about too.... Since Matthew had to have surgery I had a few days off work and when I don't work for a few days in a row I get bored!! I found myself glued to this show!! I totally loved 16 and pregnant when it was on... I don't agree with 16 year old girls getting pregnant but I was pregnant when that show aired and it was actually very educational for me being a first time mom!! So this show is like a spin off of 16 and pregnant and it shows some of the girls from the first show coping with life being a Teen Mom, hence the name.... So that is my life this month.... Its been very stressful and I'm glad things are finally starting to calm down... Let's hope they stay that way!! OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!................................. and my anniversary is coming up this next month! February 20 3 YEARS!! So my hubby is taking me to.............................. DiSnEyLaNd!!!!!!! I didn't get to go last year... obviously, I was pregnant and it was NOT an option! So I get to go this year and for my anniversary!! I can't wait! Its one of my absolute favorite places to be and who better to be there with than my LOVE!! I will take LOTS of pictures and post them after the trip!!

2009 Recap

Oh 2009.... It has been a CRAZY, extremely eventful year. I won't get into all the craziness, but those of you who know me and my family... YOU KNOW... Despite being miserable and pregnant for half the year it was totally worth it. My baby is turning 6 months on sunday and i can't believe time has flown by so quickly. My sister-in-law Flor just had her baby today. So Matthew now has a cousin. all in all 2009 has been a pretty good year. We have had our ups and downs but its been good. I can say that I am looking forward to 2010 and hope that its ten times better than 2009. Christmas was really low key. We went to my parents house to open presents and eat yummy food. the whole family was together which doesn't happen very often. It was nice. I got a bread maker, and new silverware, and clothes. Its GREAT! i get to make my own bread and it turned out soooo yummy. unfortunately i missed new year.... 3RD time in row! 2008 i had just gotten a Nintendo DS and i was too busy playing the game, when i looked up it was already 1:00am!! 2009, i was at my mom's and we couldnt find the stupid countdown clock on tv so we had to go by our clocks which were of course off by a couple minutes so i missed in then too. 2010... sadly i was watching Indiana Jones, because im just not cool enough to go to any parties..., and all of the sudden berto says, OH.... Happy New year... and of course its 12:03am. UGH!!! Next year i vow to have a good new year and actually get to countdown the new year! Im so lame. haha. Well next time I'll post some pictures. Can't wait for the weekend!!

I'm so EXCITED for this weekend! Why? you may ask????? Because my lovely husband has PROMISED me a LONG awaited date night! We have not been out on a date, JUST US, since Matthew was born....

5 MONTHS!!! That is the longest we have ever gone without going out somewhere together! I never knew how hard it would be once the baby got here, but between being financially strained, finding time, and someone willing to babysit my newborn it been so DIFFICULT! BUT my hubby has promised me some alone time so he better pull through! We just have to find a willing babysitter that we both trust... hopefully my sister Kinsey will be willing and able.hehehe... We have been really busy lately. Berto has been working non-stop, I've been working and taking care of Matthew. He's a handful in itself... but i LOVE him. :) Today was Berto's day off and we were planning on spending the day inside since it was SUPPOSED to rain all week but the sun decided to make an appearance so we went to Freestone Park with Matthew and played for a little while. Matthew LOVED the swings. I sat him in the one that is for little kids and he actually sat up without any help and was laughing! He loved it! It was so cute! He also liked the slide but not as much as the swing. Well i hope the weather people are right and that it IS gonna rain the rest of the week cuz i love rainy weather. Well until next time! Thanksgiving!!

BABY'S First Thanksgiving!!! Today was so fun! It was great to have the whole family over and to just enjoy each others company. We put up the Christmas tree and the decorations. My house is soooo pretty and festive! Matthew is loving all the pretty lights on the tree and of course he LOVED all the attention he got from everyone! MY grandma (Matthew's Great-Grandma) is here for the week and i LOVE when she comes to visit! Actually I love anytime i get to spend with her! She's my favorite! I wish she lived closer to me. :( We played cards and yahtzee and just hung out all day. my mom, me, and my grandma made all the food which i think turned out really yummy! I made homemade apple pie, pumpkin pie, and cheesecake. OH and my cheesecake was SOOOOOO yummy. I should have made 2! Anyway, Thanksgiving was a total success and i couldn't ask for a better day! I just wanna say I am so thankful for my family. And I am so thankful to have such a good baby! I love that i can put him on the floor and let him play or in the swing or bouncer and he is happy. he can be held or not, he doesnt care. I dont know what i would do if he was colic or anything like that. I love my little boy soooooo much! Here's pics of Matthew'sFirst Thanksgiving! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! :)

Grateful

There are just soooo many things to be grateful for! i have a wonderful family! matthew is just a joy and such a good baby. i have a loving husband who would do anything for me and treats me like a princess :) i have a great house and a great job. what more could i possibly ask for? what brought this on?? well for one its the holidays.... and 2, i have seen so many underprivileged people who dont have half of what i do and yet i find myself complaining about such trivial things. this makes me feel like a horrible person. so i just thought id take a minute and just say that there are a lot of things i am grateful to have. Great friends- i miss my shawna so much! i cant wait til she comes to visit! she is my one friend who was always there for me and always is! Thank you! My family- we are strange and a little left of center but i love everyone and am glad to be a part of it. Kinsey-my little sister who now lives with me. thank you for keeping me entertained when Berto is at work and i have NOTHING to do. and thank you for always helping me with baby without ever complaining! you wont understand just how much this means to me until you have a baby of your own! i love you! My mom (who is so wonderful to have quit her job after i had matthew and babysits him so i can work) so happy that i dont have to put him in daycare! My new sister-in-law sylvia (she makes my cliffy poo so happy) CONGRATS on being married! :) My mother-in-law! she has helped berto and i so much! she is a wonderful woman who i LOVE so much! i couldnt have asked for a better mother-in-law!!! Dr. Garcia... such a wonderful, loving person! I could not ask for a better person to work for!! and also her daughter Sarah Bel. :) i LOVE my job :) and not very many people can actually say that and mean it... im just plain GRATEFUL!!!

***i put up my christmas lights on the house yesterday and they look sooo pretty. my neighbor did it first and so i felt the need to brighten up our neighborhood and make it more cheerful! ill put up pictures when its complete. i only have a few up right now. ill finish on thanksgiving. ( that when we always put up the christmas decor)*** QUESTION?? Does this make me "THAT GIRL" who puts up my christmas decorations way too early and celebrates for like 1/3 of the year?? Eh who cares! its the holidays and this is MY favorite time of the year! No one can ruin that for me!
