Bouncing babies, snow, San Diego Zoo, and things....

Yep, I am SOOOOO behind. Life has been crazy since October when we moved here and hasn't really slowed down until now. These past 2 months have been especially stressful and crazy.  My mother in law was here for 6 weeks.... Everyone has their own way of doing things and whether you want to admit it or not EVERY single women with a mother in law has something that they don't like or don't agree with. AND most people don't have to spend 6 weeks with their mother in law. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my mother in law, but 6 weeks in a cramped apartment with a 2 year old and a new baby...... NOT my idea of fun....

She left about a week ago and then I had a day before my sister Kinsey came for her spring break. We had a lot of fun though. We hit up the San Diego Zoo and just hung out and relaxed. She left last Friday... So after pretty much 6 months of chaos, I finally have my life back! I'll explain why its 6 months.
October and November: We moved and I was VERY pregnant. Had to get used to a new state and city.
December: I drove back to Arizona to wait for Kourtney to come. I was there a little over 4 weeks. I was away from Berto for that long and taking up space in everyone's houses no matter where I went.
January: Kourtney finally came! I waited a week before we drove home to California.
Berto's mom came at the end of January.
February: Berto's mom was here. We had to go back to AZ for my 6 week appointment.
March: Berto's mom flew home and Kinsey came for a week.

Here we are almost April and I'm just barely getting my life back. Let me tell you.... I Never want to have that kind of chaos again. Now the worst of the chaos is just trying to get Baby K on a schedule and to get some sleep.

Speaking of Miss Kourtney (who is of course crying as I update my blog)
She is getting huge! Growing so fast! She will be 11 weeks tomorrow. She is starting to sleep through the night. If we put her down at 11pm she will stay asleep until 5 or 6am. Which is fabulous. Although for me, through the night would be staying asleep until like 8am. haha I can dream right? She is smiling like crazy especially when you make yourself look like a complete idiot but its so worth it for those smiles. Everytime I lay her on her boppy pillow for tummy time she uses her legs to topple herself over the pillow and face plant the carpet. Its sad but funny and she is so quick! If I lay her flat on her back she uses her legs to spin herself around the blanket. She's got some strong legs. I need to get her a jumper because she LOVES when you hold her up and let her bounce on your stomach or legs. Let me tell you, this brings enormous smiles! I can't believe how time is flying.

Mr. Matthew ( I do have 2 children and I promise I haven't forgotten)
He is also getting so big. We are finally getting him weaned from the binky (or the night night as we call it)
He only gets it at night when he goes to bed. He's been doing really well. Both Berto and I have noticed he's been talking a lot more since we took it away during the day. The only downside? He now sucks on his fingers and chews on EVERYTHING! We're working on it.
Things he's started saying:
Nemo!
Lemonade Tea (its a commercial, but the way he says it is so stinking cute)
Move mommy, I can't see!
B-ball (game on our tablet)
Turtle
He knows all the sounds that elephants, monkeys, snakes, cats, and lions make.
Most of the time he will show you what he wants. Like when he wants to play on my phone (cars) he will put his hand out and act like he's drawing on his hand. The kid is so smart, he just doesn't want to talk. haha
He sings with the Disney channel shows. Like Mickey Mouse and Jake and the Neverland pirates.
He loves bath time.
He is SO good about bed time. I rarely have to fight him at all. He's a very good listener.
In the next couple of weeks we are getting him a REAL big boy bed. He has a toddler sized one but we are getting ready to move him up to a twin bed so that we can use the mattress from his toddler bed in the crib for Kourtney. I found a super cute frame at Ikea.

As for me and Berto, we are the same. He works all the time, I stay home with the babies. We did take advantage of having people here and went on a couple dates. The last one was while Kinsey was here. We went and saw John Carter. Oh my goodness, that movie was awesome! Definitely want to buy that one. I think our next date will hopefully be in May if my mommy will watch the kids. We really want to see The Avengers. (I love you mommy)  :)

I think thats all the updates I have for now. I have some pictures of the babies. I did take pictures at the Zoo but my camera died and I haven't bought any batteries so those will have to wait.
Til next time!

*** Oh we went to the snow while Berto's mom was here and I forgot to update my blog with pictures. So here ya go!
