Sleep

I can NOT remember what it is like to sleep. I mean really sleep. I haven't had a decent night's sleep since BEFORE I was pregnant with Kourtney. Most restless nights, before K was even thought of, I didn't sleep because Berto snores. Like a freaking chainsaw.... Once I was pregnant with K, I could only sleep on one side, and even then I was lucky if I got any sleep. I had insomnia so bad with her. I just could NOT sleep.
Now, we have a newborn who goes to bed at 10 and wakes up around 5 or 6am. I know that's not bad at all and that I should be happy she sleeps that much. (which I am) It's nights like this past Sunday that kill me.
I got into a movie on tv (Why is it that all the good movies come on at 11pm and suck you in?)and by the time it was over is was 1am. Berto went to bed at 10:30 so I figured he would get up with K since I went to bed so late and he usually takes the super early morning feeding since I have her all day. Well she woke up at 2:30am and Berto did get up and fed her and when he put her back to bed at 3 she wasn't about to go back to sleep.
She was WIDE awake. After about half an hour I knew Berto was frustrated(i would be too, he has to get up at 5:45am for work)so I got up and took K. Holy cow that girl did not want to sleep. I rocked her, I bounced her, I talked to her, I tried EVERYTHING! She wasn't interested at all in sleep. I stayed up until 6:30 trying to get her back to sleep.
6:30 she FINALLY falls asleep. So I lay down in my bed and at this point I am in tears just knowing that I have to take care of 2 babies on like 1 hour of sleep. How was I gonna do it?
I doze off and at 7 Matthew is awake..... I CAN NOT WIN.
I finally get one to sleep and the other wakes up.
MELTDOWN..... You have NO idea.
After a prayer for patience and asking for well behaved children I got up and got ready to face what I knew was going to be a craptastic day. It didn't turn out to be so bad after all. Yes, I was exhausted and could barely keep my eyes open but both Matthew and Kourtney were really good. K slept til 11am and Matty was just being good and helping with anything I asked him to do. Amazing what a small prayer can do.
I can not tell you what was wrong with Kourtney that she didn't want to sleep. NO she did not sleep the whole day. She was not backwards thinking it was day and not night. She is on a schedule and I am really good at keeping that schedule. Who knows....
All I know is that I. AM. DYING. FOR. SOME. SLEEP!
A few more months and Miss K will be a better sleeper and hopefully in her own crib sharing the room with Matthew and not in ours anymore. I can hope right?

I've been updating baby books. Growing up I always asked my mom why my baby book didn't have anything in it. It's almost completely empty. I don't remember what her answer was but ever since I was little I wanted to make sure I always filled in baby books. Just to have for my kids when they got older and wanted to look back.  Anyway, I bought Matty's book and it is filled for the most part. I still have a bunch of pictures I need to print and add. With Kourtney I looked everywhere for a super cute, girly baby book and I did find one but as I was filling it in I didn't like the content. It wasn't as detailed as Matty's baby book is. So I went on Amazon.com (I'm obsessed) and I found an identical baby book to Matthew's. I bought it for $1.47. After shipping and handling it was like $5.47. Awesome deal considering I payed over $15 for Matty's.

We finally bought a photo printer which prints AWESOME pictures so I can get to updating the picture part of their books.

We also got baby K's jumper and she loves it. She's still a little too short for it but she likes to sit in it. I think she likes being upright rather than on the floor.

Next "major" purchase will be Matty's bed.
Couple weeks. I'll update after we get it :)
