While going back through my blog posts, I realized
I haven't updated at all really about Matthew!!
There is SO much to say about my amazing
little boy.
As of late:
He has definitely hit the TERRIBLE twos!
(Reminder: He doesn't turn 2 until July!)
Temper tantrum central, NO's flying everywhere,
throwing of toys when he doesn't get his way, and
a minimum of 2 crying episodes a day
(sometimes more)
Yep, the whole shebang.
I am not amused, BUT that being said
he is also learning a TON!
Matthew says:
Mama
Dada
banana
cat
car
thank you
hola
hi
bye
Night night
dog
NO
more
bite
food
and many more.
He tries so hard to say:
grandma
grandpa
por favor
please
(he signs please but he has a hard time saying it)
Matthew is totally OBSESSED with:
CARS!!
He LOVES all things Cars. He watches the movie over and over
again when we are in the car. He has almost all the mini cars from the movie.
He has a shirt that he runs around showing everyone his "Car"
SO cute! :)
He is so stinking smart.
He knows where all his "body parts" are.
Nose, Ears, Eyes, Feet, Hands, Belly button, Mouth, and
of course his peepee.
Ask him to bring you anything and he'll go right to it and
bring it to you.
He LOVES to throw trash away, especially his diapers.
(Luckily he does NOT play in it. He just throws away the
trash and then goes back to what he was doing)
He tells me when he goes poo poo by grabbing his privates.
I plan on starting to potty train him very soon, like within the next week.
He of course LOVES all the shows that I can't stand.
His favorites are:
Yo Gabba Gabba
Dino Dan
The Upside down Show
and
Blue's Clues
He is so good about going to bed.
( As long as someone reads him a story AND he has a toy)
Although, lately we have been finding him asleep on the floor.
Maybe the bed isn't comfortable and the floor is???
Or maybe it's because he goes to the floor to play with toys'
and is too tired to climb back into his bed.
I don't know. It's pretty funny though.
Except the nights I absentmindedly open the door
and Matthew is right behind it and I smack him with the door.
That isn't so funny, it's pretty sad actually.
Let me just say ahead of time....
He was completely asleep and it
was completely dark in his room. The flash on my camera made it look as
though its the middle of the day....
Does it make me a mean mom that I didn't move him right away?
I needed to get my camera and take a picture before we put him back in
bed. All while laughing hysterically :)
He loves to take baths
He loves his blankey
He loves his binky
(I know he NEEDS to be rid of it and I'm working on it)
He loves his daddy
He loves to talk on the phone or pretend to
He loves other kids, unfortunately he doesn't get to be around
them very often
He loves Mickey
He loves balls
He loves to give kisses
He loves his Uncle Steven
( I think he's Matthew's favorite!)
He loves to be outside
Matthew is such a sweet little boy. I love him so much and feel like we are
so blessed. Even though he really really tests my patience some days I
wouldn't have it any other way. I LOVE that I get to spend everyday with
him rather than go to work. I love that I get to see him learn new things
everyday! I am so glad to be his mommy :)
